DFM Engineer

Due to ITAR and/or CUI compliance, this position requires candidates to be U.S. citizens.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

You will perform design-for-manufacturing analysis using the Siemens Valor platform to evaluate PCBA assembly layouts for electronics in accordance with IPC guidelines, component manufacturers' specifications/recommendations, and industry-standard practices.

A Valor output report will be structured and quantified in a standard format, presenting risk assessments of possible design modifications to improve manufacturability, quality, and yield.

WHAT IS NEEDED FOR THIS ROLE

• Engineering B.S. degree (Electrical)
• CAD Viewer Proficiency: Ability to open and interpret files using Altium Designer or CAM350
• Component Data Interpretation: Experience in search/interpretation of electronics part data and component libraries.
• PCB Panel/Array design: Ability to recommend optimal board orientation on a panel

Desired Skills: PCBA assembly experience: Ability to relate design files to SMT/PTH equipment capabilities
