Position: DEXA Scan Radiology Technician
Location: La Mesa
Compensation: $45–$60 per hour (Depending on experience)
Job Type: Per Diem / Contract Schedule: 1 -2 days per week (8–10 hours)
We are seeking an experienced DEXA Scan Radiology Technician to join our team on a part‑time basis (1–2 days per week). This role focuses exclusively on performing bone density scans for active patients within our busy endocrine practice.
Position Overview
The DEXA Scan Radiology Technician is responsible for performing bone mineral density studies (spine, hip, forearm) using our GE Lunar Prodigy BMD Scanner. This position offers a consistent weekly shift with the flexibility to schedule patients around your availability.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver patient‑centered care aligned with clinical guidelines and individual needs
Review medical records and prepare patients for DEXA procedures, clearly explaining the process in English
Accurately document patient information in our electronic medical record (EMR) system while maintaining strict confidentiality
Operate the GE Lunar Prodigy DEXA Scanner and generate diagnostic reports
Adhere to all privacy, safety, and PPE protocols
Maintain a professional and supportive environment for patients and staff

Requirements
Experience: Minimum 1 year performing DEXA scans (Required)
Certification: ARRT Certification (Preferred)
Location: Must reliably commute to or plan to relocate to La Mesa, CA 91942
Work Setting: In‑person
