Job Description
 
The Opportunity: Build the Digital Nervous System for the Future of Mobility At ***, we aren’t just building legendary vehicles—we are building the software-defined platforms that power them. At the absolute center of this transformation is our global API ecosystem. It is the digital nervous system that connects millions of smart, connected vehicles, mobile applications, cloud services, and global partners in real-time. We are looking for a DevOps / SRE Engineer to help us architect, automate, and scale our enterprise API Gateway (Apigee) platform. In this role, you won't just keep the lights on; you will treat infrastructure as software, building the self-service tooling and resilient systems that empower thousands of *** developers worldwide to ship code safely and instantly.

Additional Information:
• Pioneer GitOps & Automation: Lead the evolution of our API Gateway infrastructure. You’ll design and build automated CI/CD pipelines and reusable Terraform modules to make API deployments fast, secure, and entirely self-service. • Engineer for 99.99% Reliability: Bring a true SRE mindset to our platform. You will design self-healing architectures, establish robust SLOs/SLIs, and implement deep observability to detect and mitigate anomalies before they affect our customers. • Write Code to Solve Infrastructure Problems: Develop clean, maintainable platform tooling and custom operators (primarily in Go and Terraform) to automate complex operational tasks and integrate our gateway with the broader *** ecosystem. • Collaborate Globally (with Real Work-Life Balance): Participate in a highly structured, healthy "follow-the-sun" on-call rotation (currently 1 week out of every 10). Because our engineering team is global, we pass the baton across time zones—meaning no 3:00 AM wake-up calls. • Drive Tech Strategy: Partner closely with Security, Product, and Enterprise Architecture teams to influence and execute ***'s global API Gateway strategy.
