The DevOps Manager bridges the development and application support teams to accelerate software delivery through Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment Automation (CI/CD automation), infrastructure as code, proactive monitoring, and scalable cloud deployments. This role leads performance optimization and continuous improvement initiatives while overseeing comprehensive application support, including incident response, production troubleshooting, and stakeholder coordination to ensure rapid resolution. The DevOps Manager also ensures ongoing application maintenance by managing updates, patches, user support, and compliance; minimizing downtime; and maintaining high service levels aligned with business goals.

Essential Job Functions

  • Responsible for coaching, teaching, and supervision of assigned personnel.
  • Responsible for effective employee relations. Initiates and is proactive with employee coaching and development. Resolves employee issues through identifying problems and resolutions.
  • Provide on-site leadership for team by building and motivating team members to meet their goals while adhering to everyday required responsibilities and tasks.
  • Responsible for the performance management (hiring, development, discipline, termination) of direct reports through collaboration with Human Resources.
  • Responsible for building and maintaining business relationships, which includes working with all levels and organizations of the company to maintain and provide status of key projects.
  • Oversee the complete lifecycle of organizational software assets, from acquisition, implementation, to eventual retirement or replacement.
  • Manage operational changes like software upgrades, maintenance activities and ensure minimal disruption to services.
  • Ensure all software and applications comply with organizational policies and legal regulations
  • Manage relationships with current enterprise software vendors and service providers for necessary support and assistance.
  • Ensure optimal utilization of software assets and applications to support business needs effectively.
  • Provide or coordinate technical support, troubleshoot issues, and contribute to problem resolution related to software applications.
  • Manage the provision of technology-based platforms and applications to meet defined organizational needs
  • Plan, identify, control, account for and audit the configuration items (CIs) and their interrelationships.
  • Deliver management, technical and administrative services to support and maintain live applications.
  • Lead and manage IT projects, ensuring scope and deliverables are met, and provide regular updates through meetings.
  • Drive process improvement initiatives within IT and company-wide.
  • Train employees on DevOps and mentor other developers.
  • Complete assignments efficiently and on time, applying lessons learned to future efforts.
  • Maintain regular, in-person attendance due to the collaborative nature of the role.
  • Work overtime as required and travel occasionally (up to 15%) to support remote locations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.

Education and Experience

  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in information technology preferred.

A minimum of five (5) years of experience in leading and managing IT teams.

Base Compensation Range: $121,990 - $208,667 annually

Variable Compensation Range: Incentive bonus eligibility up to 12% of gross annual salary base on company performance.

Professional office environment with some time spent in a manufacturing shop. Use of standard office equipment (computers, phones, copiers, and filing cabinets, etc.). Frequent presence on the manufacturing floor as well as field operations. Exposure to conditions, such as: dust, fumes, noise and high-degree varying seasonal temperatures.
