As a Development Specialist, you’ll play a key role in advancing the impact of Greensboro’s parks and recreation system by supporting fundraising, donor engagement, and community partnerships. Your work will help sustain programs and initiatives that promote health, wellness, environmental stewardship, and equitable access to recreation.
This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with nonprofit partners and community stakeholders while gaining hands-on experience in fundraising strategy, donor relations, and nonprofit operations. You’ll be part of a purpose-driven team working to create meaningful opportunities for residents and strengthen Greensboro’s future.
The Development Specialist provides administrative and operational support for the Department’s Resource Development Section, working closely with nonprofit partners such as Greensboro Parks Foundation and Greensboro Beautiful.
This position is essential to ensuring accurate gift processing, effective donor stewardship, and reliable data management across fundraising and engagement efforts. The role supports campaigns, events, and communications that help build awareness and generate resources for community programs and initiatives.
