As a Development Review Liaison, you will serve as the primary point of contact for development projects, working with developers, property owners, City departments, and community stakeholders to guide projects through the review process. This role combines project coordination, problem-solving, and customer service to support successful development outcomes and foster strong community partnerships.
Essential Job Functions
Serve as a central liaison for internal teams, external partners, and the public regarding development projects.
Coordinate assigned projects across departments, agencies, and stakeholders to ensure timely and effective delivery.
Collaborate with City departments to address development-related issues and support capital improvement (CIP) initiatives.
Facilitate communication and help resolve conflicts involving policies, codes, and regulations across multiple departments.
Organize and lead project review meetings, including conceptual and pre-development meetings with internal staff and external stakeholders.
Engage with developers, property owners, builders, and design professionals to identify project pathways and viable solutions.
Respond to inquiries, complaints, and service requests from citizens and stakeholders in a professional and timely manner.
Provide high-level customer service to applicants and the public throughout all phases of the development process.
Develop and administer contracts and agreements for specialized projects, as needed.
Support continuous process improvement by updating procedures, forms, and recommending policy enhancements.
Assist with financial guarantee tracking and project closeout activities.
Represent the department at meetings, training sessions, and community or organizational events.
Travels to and attends team and organizational meetings, training, events and activities and appropriately and professionally represents the department.

Strong understanding of building codes, zoning regulations, construction practices, and municipal development processes.
Solid knowledge of ordinances, permitting requirements, and regulatory frameworks.
