The Jewish Federation of Kansas City seeks a natural relationship builder—someone passionate about building and sustaining the Jewish community—to join our collaborative team.
This vital role will work in partnership with others on the Fundraising & Development team to ensure our organization exceeds our aspirational fundraising goals in order to meet the needs here in the Kansas City Jewish community and beyond (in Israel and Jewish communities globally).
The development officer will be responsible for managing and growing a significant portfolio of donors, using cultivation, stewardship and inspiring conversations to strengthen their connection and giving. We practice relationship-based fundraising, using in-person and virtual meetings, events, phone calls and thoughtful notes to engage with our supporters.
In addition, this professional will have responsibility for programs and events throughout the year designed to engage and inspire our community members and donors, helping them feel invested in the organization and the community. The engagement both between and around these events, along with follow up from these programs, is the bread and butter of the work.
