Job Summary

This position will develop strategies, tactics, and infrastructure to execute and grow health care-focused philanthropy programs, with a strong emphasis on grateful patients and families that would support all Prisma Health affiliated foundations in a new, shared services model, and annual giving/other revenue generating campaigns. The incumbent will have a portfolio of donors and will partner with Prisma Health-Upstate clinical leaders and clinicians to cultivate, solicit, and steward donors.

Essential Functions

  • Plan, execute, and evaluate annual fundraising initiatives designed to grow philanthropic revenue and the donor base and increase opportunities for engagement with the Foundation. Initiatives may include: fundraising events, annual giving campaigns, patient and family giving, giving societies, team member giving, and/or other programs.

  • Recruit, manage, and steward volunteers needed to execute annual fundraising initiatives. Develop volunteer job descriptions and/or committee descriptions and manage associated volunteer training, meetings, and communications. Work with Foundation leadership to engage board members in annual fundraising initiatives.

  • Collaborate with Foundation leadership to develop and manage program goals and budgets, tracking effectiveness and ROI. Prepare progress reports, analyze data and provide insights to guide decision making.

  • Collaborate with Foundation colleagues and Prisma Health Marketing & Communications to develop and create fundraising materials in accordance with brand standards.  

  • Identify, cultivate, and steward relationships with individual, corporate, and community donors to meet annual goals.

  • Solicit sponsorships, gifts, and grants in support of assigned fundraising initiatives.

  • Develop sponsorship packets and benefits, as well as solicitation proposals, presentations, and collateral materials to facilitate giving.

  • Build strong partnerships with Prisma Health clinicians, leaders, and team members and engage them in fundraising initiatives as donors, volunteers, and/or content experts.

  • Record and document prospect and donor information in philanthropy database following Foundation policies and procedures.

  • Represent the Foundation team at Foundation events and support all aspects of the Foundation's work.

  • Serve as a Foundation advocate and champion, internally and externally.  

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Supervisory/Management Responsibilities

This is a non-management job that will report to a supervisor, manager, director or executive.

Minimum Requirements

  • Education - Bachelor's degree in related field of study

  • Experience - Five (5) years of experience in fundraising/constituent relations; marketing/communications; non-profit management; sales; healthcare administration; or a related field.
