Job Description:
Application Developer (.NET Modernization) - Contract
Location: Fort Worth, TX (4 days Hybrid onsite)
Were seeking an experienced Application Developer to modernize a legacy VB.NET application into a scalable, secure, and maintainable C#/.NET solution supporting a mission-critical public safety environment.
This is not a simple code conversion project. The ideal candidate can analyze legacy applications, identify critical business logic versus technical debt, and design modern solutions using current .NET best practices.
Responsibilities
Required Experience
Strong experience with C#, .NET, and ASP.NET
Ability to troubleshoot and maintain VB.NET/.NET Framework applications
Experience modernizing or replacing legacy enterprise applications
Hands-on experience with:
HTML5, jQuery
SSRS and SSIS
APIs and system integrations
RabbitMQ
Knowledge of modern development practices, including:
ASP.NET Core
Dependency Injection
Unit Testing
CI/CD
Async Programming
