Overview:

POSITION SUMMARY

Under direction, performs a wide range of application development related duties including analysis, design, evaluation, development, coding, testing and maintenance of complex application systems.

 

Responsibilities:

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and analytics solutions as part of migrating legacy systems to modern cloud-based platforms.
  • Develop and support ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes and data architectures (e.g., layered/medallion approaches) to ensure reliable data ingestion, transformation, and delivery during and after migration.
  • Monitor and optimize data solutions for performance, cost efficiency, and security in a cloud environment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support system migration, validate data integrity, and troubleshoot production issues.
  • Design and develop SQL Server stored procedures, functions, views, and triggers to be used during the ETL process.
  • Design and develop SSIS / SQL ETL solutions that consume data from numerous upstream systems for data transformation and processing.
  • Design, implement, and maintain database objects (tables, views, indexes) and database security.
  • Proficient with ETL tools, expert in industry standard best practices on Microsoft SSIS and SSMS (2016 or higher)
  • Analyze and develop strategies to import and transfer data between source, staging, and Development/Production Warehouse destinations.
  • Troubleshoot and correct ETL warnings and errors and resolve critical issues promptly.
  • Provides analytical and technical expertise on performance tuning, index optimization, and query optimization.
  • Stays informed of new developments and technologies by reading journals and other pertinent publications, maintaining contact with vendors, and participating in professional organizations, meetings, and seminars.
  • Work closely with MED IT to assist in patch update reboot, capacity planning, and performance tuning.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

TRAINING/EXPERIENCE

  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Healthcare experience preferred.
  • Three (3) years of full-time experience performing coding, testing, and debugging application programs obtained within the last three (3) years.
  • Help desk experience required
  • Multi-facility support desired
  • Experience in firewall management
  • Experience in managing systems administration operations required
  • Technical certifications are a plus 

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION/LICENSE

  • A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Data Science
