Position: After-treatment Design and Test Support Engineer
Location: Mossville, Illinois
Duration: 12 Months of contract with high possibility of extension
Role: - Analysis of aftertreatment capability and sizing trade-offs.
- Design of catalyst canning and diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) system components.
- This individual will be a point of contact for aftertreatment test instruction, project plan status, results, and next steps.
Typical task breakdown:- Print releasing, knowledge and working with CAD based program and print reading.
- Component design (aftertreatment canning, injectors DEF pumps)
- Working with a purchasing team for quotes and proto-type part procurement
- FMEA analysis and validation planning and testing
- Review test cell and field data and ensure no issues with Aftertreatment or performance shift.
- Ensure all cell hardware is accounted for, current and future programs. Make sure they are tracked properly electronically to accumulate hours.
- Troubleshoot and fix aftertreatment related issues/codes in test cell, especially during install
