The Desktop Technician III is responsible for the configuration and installation of all desktop infrastructure including hardware, approved software deployment, images, and maintenance in concert with the technology strategy, direction, and standards established by the information technology (IT) department. The responsibilities also include the implementation of secure, stable, and available desktop, laptop, thin client, etc. environments and the development of standards and conventions for end user devices. The Desktop Technician III will also provide guidance and expertise to the Desktop Technician I and II. This position may be required to remain on campus immediately before, during, and after severe weather and/or disasters.
