A/V Technician
Contract (2 Year + Possible Extension)
New York, NY (Onsite)
Pay Rate: $30-32 an hour on W2 (DOE)
We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused A/V Technician to provide high-quality audio-visual support for events, executive meetings, conference rooms, and enterprise collaboration technologies. This role is responsible for ensuring seamless operation of A/V systems, Zoom environments, and meeting spaces across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Event & Executive Meeting Support
Provide technical support for live in-person, hybrid, and broadcast events.
Operate professional presentation and production equipment, including:
Video switchers
Audio mixers
PTZ camera systems
Support and troubleshoot enterprise A/V technologies such as:
QSC
Yamaha
Vizrt
Ross
Barco
Blackmagic
Cisco
Logitech
Deliver white-glove A/V support for C-Suite executives and high-profile meetings, including microphone and presentation support.
Conference Room & Collaboration Support
Provide daily operational support for conference rooms, studios, Zoom Rooms, and collaboration platforms.
Support customer-facing meeting technologies and ensure room readiness.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to:
DSPs
CPUs
Cameras
Microphones
Displays
Conduct routine room certification, testing, and functionality checks.
Maintain conference room systems, ensuring firmware and software remain up to date.
Incident Management & Service Delivery
Manage and resolve A/V incidents and service requests through ITSM platforms such as ServiceNow or Jira.
Maintain accurate ticket documentation, including:
Timely updates
Root-cause analysis
Resolution details
Proper closure practices
Monitor SLA performance and escalate issues when necessary to ensure consistent service delivery.
Required Skills & Experience:
3-5 years of experience supporting Audio/Visual technologies in a corporate environment, with strong event support experience.
Hands-on experience with conferencing and collaboration platforms such as Zoom and Microsoft Teams.
Strong understanding of:
A/V signal flow
Acoustic principles
IP networking fundamentals
Experience with audio/video control systems and DSP technologies.
Excellent communication and customer-facing skills, including experience supporting senior executives.
Strong documentation and troubleshooting abilities.
Self-motivated, energetic, and able to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment.
