Desktop Support Engineer

Location: Whippany, NJ (Onsite)
Duration: Long-Term Contract

Summary:
Seeking a Desktop Support Engineer to provide onsite end-user support, device management, asset lifecycle administration, and technical troubleshooting in a corporate environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and support desktops, laptops, mobile devices, peripherals, and software.
  • Provide desk-side support, break-fix services, IMACD activities, device refreshes, and data migrations.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and end-user issues, ensuring timely ticket resolution within SLA.
  • Coordinate with vendors for hardware provisioning, repairs, warranty support, and replacements.
  • Support security, compliance, access review, and audit-related activities.
  • Provide IT support for meetings, events, and disaster recovery activities.
  • Assist with network, voice, and infrastructure hands-and-feet support.
  • Manage IT asset lifecycle, inventory tracking, audits, warranty management, and asset reconciliation.

Required Skills:

  • Experience in desktop support, technical troubleshooting, and end-user support.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems, laptops, desktops, mobile devices, and peripherals.
  • Experience with ticketing systems and SLA-driven support environments.
  • Understanding of IT asset management and inventory control processes.
  • Ability to coordinate with vendors and cross-functional IT teams.
  • Strong communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to participate in on-call and after-hours support when required.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with enterprise IT environments and infrastructure support.
  • Knowledge of security and compliance processes.
  • Familiarity with device deployment, imaging, and migration activities.
