    Designer/Modeler I - Product Engineering SupportMajor PurposePerforms product design and modeling work for projects of limited scope using the preferred 3-Dimensional (3D) Computer Aided Design (CAD) tool and protocols. Uses technical judgment. Is considered the entry level design position.Major Duties? Implement feasibility testing of proposed engineering solutions, under supervision, to provide feedback and contribute to validation of the design.? Carry out a range of activities under the guidance of more senior colleagues to create engineering drawings for the communication, evaluation, and implementation of engineering solutions.? Develop testing standards and procedures under the direction of professional colleagues.? Support others by carrying out a range of product development and engineering activities, such as analyzing client situations or interpreting data.? Find the most effective ways to respond to routine functional inquiries. Involves following procedures and precedents.? Develop knowledge and understanding of the organization's policies and procedures and of relevant regulatory codes and codes of conduct to ensure own work adheres to those standards. Obtain authorization from a supervisor or manager for any exceptions from mandatory procedure.? Operate complex equipment and machines, adjusting diverse variables to achieve the best possible outcomes in terms of quality and productivity. Also responsible for generating solutions to simple and recurring inefficiencies.? Extract relevant data from information provided by others, and input it into spreadsheets or standard formats.? Resolve queries from internal or external customers or suppliers by providing information on policies and/or procedures, referring complex issues to others.Skills, Abilities, Knowledge?     1st shift ONSITE role only
    Bill Rate: ***
    Metatarsal safety boots are required on their first day
    Local candidates only

    Required
    - Knowledge of Creo modeling and drafting
    - Knowledge of PDM/Windchill
    - Microsoft Office skills
    - Ability to collaborate with engineers to create models and drawings
    - Ability to calculate basic tolerance stack ups

    Nice to have
    - Understanding of the dimensioning and tolerancing standard ASME Y14.5
    - Able to follow modeling best practices
    - Attention to detail
    - Ability to annotate a model in Creo
