Job Summary
The Designer, Interiors supports the interior design team in the development and documentation of interior architectural projects. This role contributes to design development, construction documents, furniture and finish specifications, and coordination across project phases, with a strong focus on Revit production and technical accuracy.
This position will be working out of our Ontario, CA office. This position is eligible for hybrid (office/remote) working arrangement and flexible working hours.
Responsibilities
- Prepare interior design and construction documents, including plans, elevations, details, finish schedules, and furniture specifications
- Utilize Revit for modeling, documentation, and coordination with architectural and consultant drawings
- Support design teams from concept through construction, including material research, presentations, and maintaining design intent
- Assist with permitting/plan check processes and coordinate documentation across disciplines
- Support construction administration tasks such as submittals, RFIs, and shop drawing reviews
- Collaborate with project teams to resolve design conflicts and ensure timely, accurate project delivery
Requirements
- Degree in Interior Design or Architecture from an accredited program
- Minimum 1 year of Revit experience in interior architectural documentation
- Working knowledge of design development, construction documentation, and building codes (accessibility, egress, materials)
- Proficiency in Revit and understanding of documentation standards, drawing setup, and file management
- Strong communication, organization, and time management skills; ability to meet deadlines and manage priorities
- Demonstrated professionalism, initiative, and ability to collaborate effectively with teams, consultants, and clients
This position is non-exempt. The salary range for this position is $49,006 - $66,698 ($23.56 - $32.07).
The actual offered salary for this position will vary depending on multiple factors including the candidate’s qualification, education, position knowledge, work experience, skills, ability, work location, and internal incumbent compensation for similar roles. We do not anticipate individuals hired into this position will start at or near the top half of the range listed; the decision will be based on each individual case. The salary range listed above does not include other compensation elements such as discretionary bonus opportunities, employee stock ownership grants, paid time off, medical insurance, and other wage and benefit opportunities.
