Designer – Architect (Hybrid)
Detroit, Michigan

We are partnering with a design-driven architecture firm seeking a Designer - Architect to support design efforts across a range of complex architectural projects. This role is well suited for a creative, detail-oriented designer who enjoys contributing across all phases of design and working closely with project teams to bring ideas from concept through construction.

This hybrid position is based in Detroit and offers the opportunity to grow within a collaborative studio environment while working on impactful, design-focused projects.

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate on design efforts across all project phases, from conceptual design through construction documentation
Develop design concepts, space plans, and design solutions across a variety of project types
Prepare drawings, visualizations, and client presentations that clearly communicate design intent
Assist with material and product selections and support specification development
Apply knowledge of building codes, accessibility (ADA), and construction methods to ensure quality and compliance
Support project teams during construction administration, including RFIs, site visits, and punch lists
Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, and regulatory agencies
Manage multiple tasks and deadlines while working independently and as part of a team

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture
Professional experience in an architectural design role
Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD
Strong design, visualization, and communication skills
Solid understanding of building codes, accessibility requirements, and construction documentation
Ability to manage deadlines and balance multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
Licensure or active pursuit of licensure preferred
