RiteScreen blends scale, speed, and innovation to lead North America’s window and door screen market. We’re results-focused and relentlessly improving—because smarter manufacturing delivers smarter outcomes for our customers.
Your mission
Cut cost without cutting corners. You’ll architect and execute value engineering programs that lower material, process, design, logistics, and supplier costs—while safeguarding quality, service, and safety.
What you’ll own
- Value engineering roadmap: Construct project charters aligned to company goals; maintain a pipeline of initiatives with savings targets and timelines.
- Product and material optimization: Run DFM/DTC evaluations; reduce cost through aluminum, mesh, component, and spline optimization; hardware simplification; packaging upgrades; and SKU standardization. Partner with suppliers on substitutions/spec changes.
- Manufacturing improvement: Examine metal forming, assembly, and packaging to reduce labor content, scrap/rework, cycle time, and material waste; implement automation and tooling improvements where appropriate.
- Cross-functional delivery: Lead projects across engineering, operations, quality, and supply chain; manage rollout across multiple plants; update PFMEA, control plans, and work instructions.
- Supplier cost initiatives: Build should-cost models and cost transparency with procurement and vendors; aid negotiations; explore consolidation, alternate sourcing, and value-engineered redesigns.
- Data and reporting: Create cost models for products, components, and processes; perform should-cost analysis on aluminum extrusions, fiberglass mesh, hardware, and packaging; report on pipeline, realized savings, status, and ROI.
