Design Specialist II (On-site)

We are seeking a Design Specialist II for our client to support the design and development of complex mechanical and electromechanical systems, components, assemblies, and products. This role works closely with engineering, manufacturing, quality, suppliers, and customers to create innovative, producible designs that meet performance, cost, and regulatory requirements.The ideal candidate will have extensive experience designing heavy welded structures and mechanical systems, with strong Creo modeling expertise and a solid understanding of ASME and military standards.ResponsibilitiesDevelop innovative mechanical and electromechanical concepts for existing products and new development programsCreate detailed design layouts, schematics, models, drawings, and engineering documentationDevelop fully parametric 3D models and fully associative drawings using CreoPrepare drawing packages in accordance with ASME, military, and company standardsReview drawings, specifications, test plans, procedures, and engineering change documentation for accuracy and compliancePerform technical calculations, tolerance studies, mass property calculations, and design evaluationsAnalyze designs for manufacturability, fit, function, tolerances, materials, finishes, and integration requirementsIdentify design deficiencies, assembly interferences, and engineering issues; recommend corrective actionsCollaborate with engineering, manufacturing, quality, suppliers, and customers to resolve technical challengesSupport product development, design improvements, and configuration management activitiesAssist with the development and maintenance of design standards and best practicesQualificationsAssociate Degree or Certification in Engineering Drafting, Design, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experienceMinimum of 6 years of drafting and design experience, including at least 2 years of design responsibilityCurrent, hands-on experience using Creo for 3D modeling and drawing creationStrong understanding of model-based design and fully associative drawing developmentExperience performing design calculations, tolerance analysis, and engineering evaluationsAbility to interpret and apply engineering, military, and industry standardsBenefitsHealth Insurance401kPay Range: $42.00- $47.00 per hour (Depending on experience and qualifications)All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, marital status, national origin, age, veteran status, disability, or any other protected class.#J-18808-Ljbffr
