Location - Fresno, CA (Onsite)
Design or Project Engineers with Electrical Engineering degree

Substation Engineering experience must.
The Role requires hand on Project Engineering designing or scoping substation mostly Utility level voltages 12kv-500 KV.

Key Responsibilities:
Design and develop high-voltage (HV) and medium-voltage (MV) substations, including physical layouts, protection, and control schematics.
Perform electrical system studies, load flow analysis, and short circuit calculations.
Develop and review substation one-line diagrams, grounding layouts, and relay coordination settings.
Coordinate with clients, project managers, and other engineering disciplines to ensure seamless project execution.
Prepare technical specifications, bill of materials (BOM), and construction drawings.
Ensure compliance with industry standards such as IEEE, ANSI, NESC, NEC, and utility requirements.
Conduct site visits and provide technical support during construction, testing, and commissioning.
Participate in project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and risk assessment.
Utilize CAD software and other design tools for accurate and efficient substation design.
Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry best practices in substation engineering.

Qualifications & Skills:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (EE) or a related field.
Experience:
Proficiency in electrical design software such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, ETAP, or SKM.
Strong understanding of electrical power systems, transformers, circuit breakers, relays, and switchgear.
Knowledge of protection and control systems, SCADA, and communication networks.
Ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
Effective communication skills for collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
Professional Engineer (PE) license or EIT certification is a plus.
Experience with utility and renewable energy projects is desirable.
