An innovative firm in industrial steam plant control is seeking an Electrical Engineer near New Haven, CT, to spearhead the creation of combustion control and burner management systems. A solid background in PLC programming is crucial, while familiarity with boilers, burners, and related controls is beneficial and can be developed further. Strong technical acumen and a proven track record in achieving project goals are essential.

Responsibilities include:
- Analyzing project specifications to ensure alignment with client needs.
- Developing control system wiring and logic diagrams via AutoCAD.
- Programming various PLCs and interface screens for control processes, mainly leveraging Allen Bradley CompactLogix and ControlLogix systems, with options for different processors.
- Implementing combustion control algorithms using loop controllers such as Siemens 353s, Preferred PCCIIIs, and Yokogawa YS1700s.
- SCADA system implementation with platforms like Proficy iFIX and Wonderware.
- Selecting instruments for measuring flow, pressure, and temperature in various applications.
- Providing technical assistance to sales teams.
- Drafting technical documents, training materials, and comprehensive operational manuals.
- Supporting system fabrication and commissioning, which may require local travel and involves testing control panels, overseeing installation, and conducting calibration and safety testing alongside field service experts.
