Shift: Mon-Friday, 1st shift hours Duration: 3-6 months Pay range: $50.00 - $55.00/hr. Onsite Job ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND SKILLS: Typical responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: • Vehicle and Product System Design and Development. • System physics modeling and characterization. • CAD system and component concept development and packaging. • Application of linear-static Finite Element Analysis in design optimization. • Technical drawing generation. • Prepare and present project status reports. • Test design, development, and reporting (DVP&R). • Metal structures and systems • Project Support • Support and resolve customer problems using mechanical, analytical, CAE and project management skills. • Prepare technical specifications. • Develop testing methods and procedures. • Support manufacturing by answering questions and responding to ECRs. ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: In addition to the responsibilities mentioned above, tasks relating to the following area will be assigned as required. • Experience in parametric 3D modeling and ASME Y14.5-Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing. • Be a team player. • Have great attention to detail • Strong verbal and written communication skills. • Strong work ethic and pride in their work products. EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION/YEARS OF EXPERIENCE: • Minimum 3yrs engineering employment experience. • BS in Mechanical, Aerospace, Automotive Engineering, or equivalent. REQUIRED SPECIALIZED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE: • CAD experience. • ANSYS/FEA tool experience. • Windchill product lifecycle management. • Drawing, Detailing & GD&T application • Metal structures and systems • Sheetmetal • Structures • Full Vehicle understanding and how systems interact with each other • Strong technical writing, communication, team, and organizational skills. • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint). PHYSICAL DEMANDS: • Ability to support technicians and shop builds. • Operate simple hand tools, etc. WORK ENVIRONMENT: • Work will typically be performed in a team-based office environment.
