Design Engineer II

Engineering Design Las Vegas, NV ID4682 Full-Time Regular

Position Summary: The Design Engineer II performs complex calculations, drawings, and specifications related to HVAC plumbing or other systems.

Position Details: Performs more complex calculations for a project such as heating, cooling loads, equipment selection, and sizing, friction loss calculations, hydraulic calculations, etc. Prepares preliminary redline design layouts for estimating. Manages a single phase of a project. Provides guidance to less experienced engineers. Reviews applicable codes and criteria and examines field conditions as required to support design of project.

Qualifications: Four-year degree in Engineering or related field. PE license preferred. 3-4 years experience. In-depth knowledge of applicable systems design such as fire suppression, HVAC plumbing, etc., as well as general understanding of system operations. Ability to read mechanical and plumbing plans. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Strong computer skills including CADD and Microsoft Office Products such as Excel.
