Summary:

- Schedule: Flex time, core hours are 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, 40 hrs/week
Responsibilities:
- Perform basic engineering calculations, investigations, and tasks under close supervision.
- Support senior engineers in preparing basic plans, designs, computation methods, and reporting.
- Work on projects of limited complexity in a support role.
- Collaborate with other engineering or business support disciplines internally and suppliers externally.
- Maintain effective communication with suppliers, internal and external customers, and outside resources concerning technical issues.
- Enforce the proper use of engineering criteria and drawing standards.
- Evaluate designs for performance, safety, and reliability.
- Prepare layouts, drawings, specifications, and bills of material.
- Perform engineering analysis to support the selection of parts, components, and materials that meet requirements.
- Provide non-complex technical assistance for production support.
- Analyze and resolve issues reported to Engineering via verbal or written communication.
- Prepare technical proposals, quotations, reports, and presentations.
- Utilize analytical and mathematical approaches to calculate or model system performance and optimize designs.
- Regular attendance is required.
Requirements:
- Accredited Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Internship experience or six (6) or more months of related work experience.
- Mechanical knowledge of automotive or heavy-vehicle equipment and related systems.
- Experience with a high-level CAD system.
Preferred Skills:
- Minimum 3 years of experience with a strong mechanical background.
