In this capacity, you'll contribute to product platforms and drive engineering initiatives by delivering comprehensive sales and system application guidance, crafting customized solutions, and ensuring designs are compatible with customer expectations, manufacturing facilities, and industry protocols.

**Responsibilities Include:**
- Evaluate design specifications from customers and sales to assess product requirements and feasibility.
- Partner with Sales and clients to derive solutions that fulfill technical and performance benchmarks.
- Generate precise component, product, layout, and schematic illustrations using SolidWorks and AutoCAD/DraftsSight.
- Formulate tailored design proposals and drawing packages for quotations and engineered solutions.
- Assess product and equipment details to devise designs manufacturable by current processes and resources.
- Update existing designs to align with customer needs.
- Manage and support Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) for designated product lines.
- Conduct design review sessions with Sales, Manufacturing, and Quality associates for custom products and special applications.
- Initiate and analyze test procedures, adopting design enhancements or corrective measures as necessary.
- Address design challenges and collaborate with engineering teams to resolve effectively.
- Offer engineering assistance to manufacturing operations and support troubleshooting on the shop floor.
- Facilitate investigations into corrective actions, root cause analyses, and the deployment of lasting corrective actions.
- Oversee on-site inspections and aid with commissioning operations.
- Apply and interpret industry codes and standards, including UL, NEC, and NFPA.
- Swiftly rectify design defects or omissions and identify opportunities to prevent future occurrences.
- Cultivate a comprehensive understanding of designated products and their applications.
- Champion quality and safety standards related to environmental health.
- Lead and provide technical mentorship to design team members.

**Skills and Qualifications:**
- Strong mechanical/electrical design proficiency with a knack for developing effective, manufacturable solutions.
- Skilled in AutoCAD 2018 or later and SolidWorks.
- Knowledge of mobile electrification systems in industrial/commercial applications.
- Capable of analyzing technical specifications and performance criteria to develop impactful designs.
- Strong problem-solving capabilities and troubleshooting acumen.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to clearly document and discuss technical aspects with sales teams and clients.
- Effective collaborator across Engineering, Manufacturing, Sales, and Quality departments.
- Detail-oriented with robust organizational and project management skills.
- Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and regulatory standards.

**Education & Experience:**
- Associate degree in fields such as Mechanical Design, Electrical Design, Engineering Technology, or a related discipline.
- A minimum of one year of engineering, design, or application engineering experience; or a comparable blend of education and practical experience.
