Mechanical Design Engineer – HVAC/MEPFull-TimeAbout the Role:We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer with a focus on HVAC and MEP systems to join our growing engineering services team based in Cincinnati, Ohio . The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design and coordination of mechanical systems for commercial, institutional, and industrial building projects. This is an exciting opportunity to work on diverse and technically challenging projects in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.Key Responsibilities:Design and develop HVAC and MEP systems for new construction and renovation projectsPrepare construction drawings, specifications, and technical reports using Revit and AutoCADPerform load calculations, equipment sizing, and energy code compliance evaluationsCoordinate mechanical systems with architectural, structural, and electrical disciplinesAssist in the review of shop drawings, RFIs, and submittals during construction phasesConduct site visits for field verifications and inspectionsEnsure compliance with local, state, and national codes, including ASHRAE and LEED standardsSupport project managers with technical input, timelines, and documentationParticipate in internal design reviews and quality control proceduresQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field3+ years of experience in HVAC/MEP design within the building systems or engineering consulting industryProficiency in Revit MEP, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office SuiteFamiliarity with Trane TRACE, Carrier HAP, or similar HVAC load calculation softwareKnowledge of relevant codes and standards (ASHRAE, NFPA, IMC, IECC)EIT certification required; PE license preferred or in progressStrong communication and organizational skillsPreferred Skills:Experience with energy modeling, sustainability practices, or LEED projectsAbility to manage multiple projects and deadlinesClient-facing experience and interest in long-term career growthCompetitive salary and performance-based bonusesHealth, dental, and vision insurance401(k) with company matchPaid time off and holidaysProfessional development support and licensing assistanceJoin a company where innovation, collaboration, and excellence in design define everything we do.
