Design Engineer - Aircraft Interior & Systems Modification - Contract - WA/TX - 0720 - August23
Our client in the WA & TX areas have multiple immediate openings for their new project that is involved in the modification of aircraft interiors & Systems. They are seeking experienced design engineers for this long term project . Experience with previous aircraft Interiors & Systems Modification Design work preferred such as LOPA, Galleys, crew rests, water waste system etc. Proficiency with CATIA or similar CAD program preferred
Jobs Roles & Responsibilities
- Assists to develop, integrate and document structural and interior payload system requirements to establish the interiors system design.
- Develops, maintains and modifies basic structural and interior payload system and component designs, using 3-D Computer Aided Design tools and/or other design methods, to provide product definition to other engineering groups, production operations, suppliers and external customers throughout the product lifecycle.
- Performs tests to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications.
- Assists with supplier development, test and production activities and coordination with the supplier to optimize the design and achieve program goals.
- Supports investigation of emerging technologies to develop concepts for future product designs to meet projected requirements.
- Works under general supervision.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Demonstrates good problem solving skills and critical thinking
- Experience in aerospace interiors, materials and properties, design criteria and release processes
- 4+ years of experience with 3D modeling (CATIA, Solidworks, Inventor, CREO, SketchUp, etc.)
- Working knowledge of standard business software (MS Office Suite)
- Ability to use a variety of media to clearly convey information and ideas to a variety of audiences
- Demonstrated interest in continuous personal learning and development
- Ability to meet plan delivery deadlines when assigned
- Familiarity and demonstrated experience with FAA Title 14 Part 25 and/or EASA equivalent.
