QualDerm Partners is looking for a skilled and compassionate Dermatology Medical Assistant to join our team at the Springbank location in Charlotte, NC. As a Dermatology Medical Assistant at our Charlotte Springbank location, you will be an integral part of the clinical team, assisting with patient care and ensuring efficient clinical and office operations. Responsibilities
Prepare patients for examinations by taking vital signs and collecting detailed medical histories.
Assist physicians with examinations and dermatological procedures, ensuring all necessary equipment is ready.
Conduct basic laboratory tests and handle specimen preparation for lab analysis.
Maintain accurate, up-to-date, and confidential patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations.
Schedule patient appointments and manage office communications efficiently.
Provide patient education related to treatments, medications, and appropriate skincare techniques.
Ensure examination rooms are clean, organized, and stocked with required supplies.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent; Medical Assistant certification is preferred.
Previous experience as a Medical Assistant or in a clinical healthcare setting is advantageous.
Strong knowledge of medical terminology, particularly dermatology-related terms.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and team members.
Ability to handle sensitive patient information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems and standard office software is preferred.
