General Summary
This position is with CBRE Government Defense & Services Engineering Solutions (“ENGS”), a Strategic Business Unit (“SBU”). ENGS’s core business is working for the Department of Defense (“DoD”) and Defense Health Agency (“DHA”) to perform renovation of existing facilities while they remain occupied and functional, especially in the healthcare industry. Most of this work is performed as a prime contractor, contracted by NAVFAC Far East.
The Deputy Project Manager (“DPM”) position works closely with and reports to the Project Manager (“PM”) and is a first-level management position. The position typically oversees a staff of site supervisory personnel and performs duties as the second in charge of the NAVFAC IDIQ DB/DBB MACC Contract for the Naval Support Facility, Diego Garcia. As a manager, the DPM will work across an assortment of Task Orders and with a wide range and diversity of customers. The DPM’s primary focus is on customer/client relationships, schedules, and budgets. In the absence of the Project Manager, the DPM is responsible for project activities, and acts on behalf of the PM.
