Estimated Period of Performance: The period of performance is for one (1) year upon award of this task order contract, plus 1 (1) option year.

Type of Employment: In-person, 40 hours per week.

Estimated Total Compensation: $59.47/hour

Paid Time Off: Up to 80 hours per year, which starts accruing on the day of hire.

Sick Leave per Year: Up to 56 hours per year, which starts accruing on the day of hire.

Paid Federal Holidays: Eleven (11) Paid Federal Holidays

Working Hours
The Deputy Program Manager will typically work Monday through Friday, 8:30 am - 5:00 pm or 9:00 am – 5:30 pm, no more than 40 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Must have a college degree and at least four (4) years of relevant experience, or a high school diploma/GED equivalent with eight (8) years of related work experience performing administrative work.
• Relevant project management experience performing tasks such as staffing, budgeting, and scheduling is required in this role.
• Experience in a scientific research or clinical environment or a Federal agency is preferred.
• Knowledge of file management concepts to establish and maintain physical and electronic records, and to research and address questions and assist staff.
• Strong organizational, analytical, internet research, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and advanced knowledge of administrative procedures and NIH systems.

Summary of Duties

The Deputy Program Manager will support the overall management and administration of one or more task orders by assisting with project planning, staffing, budgeting, scheduling, quality assurance, and contract performance. The Deputy Program Manager serves as the designated representative for the Program Manager when required, coordinates project activities with Government stakeholders and contractor personnel, monitors contract performance, and helps ensure work is completed on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with contract requirements.

Attire

The Deputy Program Manager is expected to wear approved professional clothing appropriate to the environment while on duty as requested. Footwear will be closed-toe, flat-bottom, and completely cover the feet.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist with the management and administration of one or more contract task orders.
• Support project planning, staffing, budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation activities.
• Serve as the acting Program Manager during periods of the Program Manager's absence.
• Coordinate project activities with Government personnel, subcontractors, and contractor staff.
• Monitor project schedules, deliverables, and contract performance requirements.
• Track project progress and assist in resolving operational or administrative issues.
• Support quality assurance and compliance with contract requirements, policies, and procedures.
• Prepare project reports, status updates, and other management documentation.
• Coordinate staffing activities and monitor personnel assignments.
• Assist in identifying project risks and implementing corrective actions when needed.
• Maintain effective communication with Government representatives and project stakeholders.
• Support continuous improvement efforts to enhance project performance and customer satisfaction.
