Job Description
The Deputy Director of IT Technology Operations provides leadership and oversight for the division's technical infrastructure, data services, and disaster recovery functions. This role works closely with the CIO and IT leadership team to support enterprise technology strategy while ensuring reliable, secure, and scalable technology services across the organization.
The Deputy Director oversees multiple technical teams responsible for enterprise platforms, network services, technical services, and disaster recovery planning and execution. This position plays a key role in advancing enterprise technology modernization, strengthening operational resilience, and supporting implementation of the county's enterprise technology strategy and roadmap.

The grade for this position is 304. Salary will be dependent on education and experience.
Effective 4/11/2023, this position is eligible for the Employee Referral Program.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in information technology, computer science, engineering, or related field AND
Nine years of progressively responsible experience related to the area of assignment, including two years at the Division Director level;
An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above will also be considered.
Proven leadership experience managing complex technical teams across multiple disciplines.
Strong knowledge of enterprise infrastructure, network security, systems design, cloud operations, telecommunications, and disaster recovery.
Experience with enterprise platforms, data center operations, and technical service delivery.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to lead large-scale technical projects and operational initiatives.
Experience with budgeting, resource management, and performance monitoring.
Strong understanding of industry best practices, standards, and regulatory requirements.
