The DGS Division of Purchases & Supply (DPS) is seeking a Deputy Director to lead bureaus within the Division. Reporting to the Division Director, this position interacts with public and private senior officials throughout the Commonwealth. The position will assist the Division Director in leading, directing, and advancing it's mission as set forth in Title 2.2, Chapter 11, § 2.2-1109 et seq. of Virginia Code, and in accordance with Chapter 43, entitled the Virginia Public Procurement Act ("VPPA") and other relevant statues.
DPS facilitates and ensures that every public body in the Commonwealth is able to purchase the highest quality materials, equipment, supplies, printing, and non-professional services at a reasonable cost and ensures that all procurement procedures are made in conformity with the Code of Virginia. DPS is comprised of several bureaus, including Policy, Consulting & Review; Strategic Sourcing & Contracting; eVA Procurement; Virginia Institute of Procurement; and the Virginia Distribution Center.
This position will be located in Richmond, Virginia and is eligible for a hybrid telework schedule telework up to 2 days/week after 6 months of satisfactory performance and completion of an approved telework agreement.
