SUMMARY
Our 9-1-1 Administrative team is responsible for the telecommunicators within Madison County Central Dispatch and all operational aspects, including but not limited to training and quality assurance. Additionally, this position provides technical and training support for products to the county's 16 Fire and EMS agencies and 15 law enforcement agencies.
Incumbent serves in the appointed position of Deputy Director and serves at the pleasure of the Executive Director with approval by the Board of Commissioners, responsible for managing the daily operations of the communications center, maintaining various records, and supervising personnel.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work is performed in an emergency communications center, working scheduled shifts at any time including weekends and holidays. The work level can fluctuate from minimal to fast-paced and high volume. The Deputy Director must be able to detect, address, and resolve problems involving members of the public, the department, and various public safety agencies. The Deputy Director must be able to use tact and discretion in dealing with situations, including the ability to work under pressure while maintaining professional composure.
