About the Agency

About the Position

The Deputy Administrator Tier II assists the Facility Director in the overall management, operation, and administration of an Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) facility. This position provides leadership and oversight to ensure quality services, regulatory compliance, fiscal accountability, staff development, and the health, safety, and welfare of individuals served. The Deputy Administrator serves as the Administrator in the Administrators absence and is responsible for coordinating daily operations across multiple program areas. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Assists in planning, directing, coordinating, and evaluating all facility operations and programs. • Ensure services are provided in accordance with Department of Mental Health policies, state and federal regulations, accreditation standards, and applicable laws. • Provides direct supervision and leadership to department managers and professional staff. • Assists in the development, implementation, and monitoring of facility goals, objectives, policies, and procedures. • Monitors quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives to ensure high-quality care and services. • Reviews incident reports, investigations, corrective action plans, and risk management activities. • Participates in budget planning, fiscal management, and resource allocation. • Assists with staffing plans, recruitment, retention, employee development, and succession planning. • Ensures compliance with health, safety, environmental, and emergency preparedness standards. • Coordinates with medical, nursing, behavioral, therapeutic, and support service departments to ensure integrated service delivery. • Represents the facility in meetings with community organizations, advocacy groups, regulatory agencies, families, and stakeholders. • Participates in strategic planning and organizational development initiatives. • Responds to emergencies and critical incidents as needed. • Serve as Acting Administrator during the absence of the Facility Administrator. • Performs other duties as assigned.
