Our client, a growing financial service-based company, is seeking a strategic and results-driven Department Manager with expertise in team leadership, operational management, and process optimization within a fast-paced financial services environment.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily departmental operations, managing team performance, improving internal workflows, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry standards, and driving operational efficiency to support business growth and client satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the department, ensuring workflows are efficient, organized, and aligned with company objectives.
  • Manage, mentor, and support team members by providing guidance, performance feedback, and ongoing coaching to maximize productivity and professional development.
  • Monitor departmental KPIs, productivity metrics, and service levels to ensure goals and deadlines are consistently achieved.
  • Develop and implement operational procedures and process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and overall department performance.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, financial regulations, and internal procedures while maintaining high standards of professionalism and accuracy.
  • Handle escalated client or operational issues promptly and professionally, providing effective solutions and maintaining strong client relationships.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, resource allocation, and departmental planning to support long-term business growth.
  • Maintain accurate reporting and documentation related to departmental performance, staffing, and operational activities.
  • Foster a positive and accountable work environment focused on teamwork, communication, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience in operations, team leadership, or department management within the financial services industry, with a proven ability to manage daily business operations effectively.
  • 2+ years of experience supervising and developing teams, with strong leadership, coaching, and employee performance management skills.
  • Strong understanding of financial service operations, compliance standards, and client service best practices within a professional business environment.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, with the capability to prioritize competing responsibilities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, CRM systems, and operational reporting tools, with the ability to analyze data and improve workflows.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience identifying operational inefficiencies and implementing practical solutions.
  • Detail-oriented and highly accountable, with a proactive approach to managing responsibilities and driving departmental success.
