At Des Moines University Medicine and Health Sciences (DMU), you will make a meaningful contribution to the dynamic future of medicine and health sciences.
Des Moines University, in partnership with the national executive search firm Scott Healy & Associates, invites applications and nominations for the position of Department Chair and Program Director for the Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) in Clinical Psychology program.
This is an exciting opportunity for an innovative and collaborative academic leader to help shape and advance DMU's growing behavioral health and psychology education initiatives. The Department Chair and Program Director will provide strategic leadership, academic oversight, and operational direction for the PsyD program while supporting faculty development, student success, accreditation efforts, and institutional growth priorities.
Reporting to university leadership within the College of Health Sciences, this individual will play a key role in fostering academic excellence, advancing program development, supporting interprofessional education, and strengthening partnerships across the university and community.

Position Location Closes Department Chair and Program Director - Doctor of Psychology in Clinical Psychology West Des Moines Open Until Filled The Department Chair / Program Director for the Doctor of Psychology in Clinical Psychology (PsyD) at Des Moines University Medicine and Health Sciences is a leadership role within the College of Health Sciences (CHS). This position is responsible for shaping and leading a doctoral degree program. Reporting to the CHS Dean, the PsyD Chair oversees curriculum development and program assessment, and engages in teaching and mentoring activities. The PsyD Chair is responsible for managing the allocation of faculty time, administering the program budget, and ensuring the educational and financial strength of the program The Chair represents the PsyD program within the College and University organizational structure.

Annual Security Report
In accordance with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act, Des Moines University publishes an annual security report and makes it available to all current and prospective students and employees. The report contains a description of DMU's safety and security-related policy statements and procedures and includes statistics of crimes reported over the past three years to DMU officials about incidents occurring on campus locations or nearby public property. The report also includes information about ways to stay safe and report security-related incidents.
