The Staff Pad has partnered with a growing, community-focused healthcare organization and we are seeking a friendly, organized, and patient-focused Dental Patient Services Representative to join a growing dental team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys helping others, thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment, and is passionate about creating a positive patient experience.
As the first point of contact for patients and families, you will play an important role in ensuring every visit is welcoming, efficient, and supportive. You will be a member of the oral health team providing direct and indirect support to the Dentist before, during, and after dental care services, while also assisting in the front & back office of the dental clinic as needed.
Employment Type: Full-Time | Non-Exempt
Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday & Saturday | 7:45 AM – 4:15 PM (may vary based on business needs)
What You’ll Do
As a Dental Patient Services Representative, your responsibilities will include:
- Collaborates with the Dental Supervisor to maintain accurate and up-to-date daily, weekly, and monthly patient appointment schedules
- Greeting patients and families with professionalism, warmth, and exceptional customer service
- Answering incoming calls promptly and assisting patients with scheduling in accordance with the scheduling guidelines
- Managing daily, weekly, and monthly appointment schedules to support smooth clinic operations
- Registering patients at the time of appointment and maintaining accurate, up-to-date records in the practice management system
- Scheduling follow-up appointments as necessary and communicating appointment details clearly
- Keeping patients and families informed about wait times and service delays
- Processing payments, issuing receipts, and maintaining accurate financial records
- Supporting patient satisfaction initiatives and helping create a positive care environment
- Assisting the clinical dental team with back-office support when needed through cross-training opportunities
- Participating in safety, compliance, and quality improvement programs
- Performing additional duties as assigned to support the dental team
- Promote exceptional patient experiences by creating a welcoming, supportive, and positive environment for patients and their families

Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Current CPR/Basic Life Support certification required
- Bilingual in English and Spanish required
- Knowledge of dental office procedures, equipment, and dental/medical terminology preferred
- Understanding of the Sliding Fee Discount Program and adherence to policy guidelines
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
- Ability to work effectively with diverse populations
- Professional demeanor with a commitment to treating patients and coworkers with dignity and respect
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of sitting and computer work
- Frequent typing and administrative tasks
- Ability to lift, carry, or push up to 30 pounds as needed
