Position Overview
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a skilled and patient-focused Dental Hygienist to provide high-quality preventive dental care and oral health education. This role involves working closely with patients and dental professionals to ensure a safe, efficient, and comfortable clinical experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform dental cleanings, including scaling and root planing
- Take and process dental radiographs (X-rays)
- Assist dentists during oral examinations and procedures
- Review and verify patient medical and dental histories
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and preventive care
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in EMR systems
- Prepare and sterilize treatment rooms, instruments, and equipment
- Follow all infection control, safety, and compliance protocols
- Deliver excellent patient care and customer service
- Support basic administrative tasks, including documentation and data entry
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Completion of an accredited Dental Hygiene program required
- Active New York State Dental Hygienist license required
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical dental hygiene experience preferred
- Proficiency in dental cleaning techniques, scaling, and radiography
- CPR/BLS certification preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems preferred
- Solid understanding of infection control and dental safety standards
