Responsibilities
In this role you will perform services that help individuals maintain oral health; prevent oral diseases and provide counsel on preventive measures such as nutrition, oral hygiene, dental health and overall health in a community based setting.
Perform Dental Hygiene procedures in a school based setting including: • Screenings • Sealants on eligible teeth • Application of fluoride varnish • OHI instructions
Maintain equipment and medical supplies in clean working order. Maintains examination areas in a clean, adequately stocked, and organized condition.
Perform diagnostic radiographs. Complete accurate clinical documentation and charting.
Perform administrative duties as assigned using Dental software
Communicate findings and follow-up needs to parents/guardians
Requirements
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. • Dental Hygienist credentialed from the Wisconsin Dentistry Examining Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
Education:
• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associates degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
Additional Preferences
• Valid WI drivers license required to travel to different locations throughout the Milwaukee area • Expected to work 8:00am - 3:00pm
