As a clinical provider and patient advocate, youll be given all the resources you need to provide exceptional care, while expanding your clinical skillset. Youll work in an environment that encourages full clinical autonomy, backed by the ability to tap into a hygiene mentor program.

About This Office

Dental Hygienist - Full Time Dental Care on Ashley Circle - Charleston, SC Flexible schedule: 3-4 days/week • Open to New Graduates

Dental Care on Ashley Circle is excited to welcome a compassionate, patient-focused Dental Hygienist to our team! Whether youre an experienced clinician or a new graduate eager to begin your dental hygiene career, we provide a supportive and collaborative environment where you can thrive.

Were looking for someone who brings excellent communication, strong patient rapport, and a preventive care mindset, along with the adaptability needed in a fast-paced, engaging office.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive dental hygiene care, including prophylaxis, periodontal therapy, and radiographs
  • Educate patients on oral health, preventive care, and treatment recommendations
  • Build trust and rapport with patients to support long-term oral health
  • Maintain accurate and detailed clinical documentation
  • Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient clinical environment
  • Collaborate closely with dentists and team members to ensure seamless patient flow
  • Uphold infection control, sterilization, and safety protocols
  • Demonstrate empathy, professionalism, and reliability in every patient interaction
  • Adapt to varying patient needs and support the team in a dynamic, fast-paced setting

Qualifications

  • Active South Carolina Dental Hygiene license (or eligibility upon graduation)
  • New graduates welcome-mentorship and support provided
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain treatments and educate patients
  • Compassionate approach with a focus on patient comfort and trust
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and committed to high-quality care
  • Team-oriented mindset with a collaborative spirit
  • Professionalism, reliability, and a strong work ethic
  • Ability to work 3-4 days per week with flexibility

Qualifications:

  • Current dental hygienist license

  • CPR Certification

Preferred Experience

  • Experience using Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanner, digital x-rays and electronic medical record systems
  • Desire to continue learning and grow clinical skills to meet needs of patients and provide preventative care and overall maintenance of patients dental health
  • Clinical needs as required by office
  • Completion of Tuberculosis (TB) testing prior to starting employment
