Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for the following:
- Assist the orthodontist during clinical procedures
- Prepare patients for treatment and ensure a positive patient experience
- Take digital X-rays, photos, and impressions/scans
- Change wires, brackets, and other orthodontic appliances as permitted by Oregon regulations
- Maintain accurate patient records and charting
- Sterilize instruments and maintain OSHA compliance
- Help keep clinic flow efficient and organized
- Support team members and contribute to a positive office culture
Qualifications:
You will be required to possess the following:
- Previous orthodontic assisting experience is required
- Active Oregon dental assisting certifications/licenses required
- Current radiology/X-ray certification for Oregon
- Strong communication and patient care skills
- Reliable, organized, and detail-oriented
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced orthodontic environment
- Willingness to travel to additional office locations is a plus and may allow for full-time scheduling
