Summary of Responsibilities: Jessie Trice Community Health System is seeking Dental Assistants to provide excellent customer service to patients at all times. Provides expanded duty dental functions, clerical assistance as required, prepares patient for triaging through vital signs/ dental history; performs preplanning visits as required; assist Provider (s) with procedures and patient health education; proficient in diagnostic x-rays and all other aspect of dental assisting responsibilities. Must be proficient in infection control and sterilization procedures, instrument and equipment maintenance and the protocols for treatment rooms. Details of Education and Special Skills: Certificate or Diploma as Dental Assistant from an accredited dental institution. Minimum of two (2) years as a Dental Assistant ( community setting is a great plus).Training and or certification in the following area: OSHA, Expanded Duty Functions or other area of dental assisting functions. Proficient in Electronic Health Record ( Epic) or similar is a plus Special Requirements: Current CPR (from the American Heart Association) PS. Dental graduates from non-US/ countries must have a Dental Assistant and Expanded Duty Certificate from an accredited US Dental Institution and a minimum of 2 years’ experience.
