Position Overview

Premier Workforce is seeking a reliable and motivated Dental Assistant to join a professional dental practice in the Greater Indianapolis area. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about patient care and looking to grow their career in the dental field.

The Dental Assistant will support dentists and hygienists during patient procedures, maintain treatment rooms, ensure compliance with infection control standards, and help create a positive patient experience.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials before patient appointments.
  • Assist dentists during examinations, procedures, and treatments.
  • Welcome and prepare patients for dental procedures.
  • Review patient charts and update medical histories as needed.
  • Take and process dental X-rays in accordance with office and regulatory requirements.
  • Sterilize instruments and maintain infection control standards following OSHA and CDC guidelines.
  • Assist with dental impressions, restorations, and other clinical procedures.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and clinical notes.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care instructions.
  • Monitor inventory levels and restock supplies as needed.
  • Ensure treatment areas remain clean, organized, and fully operational.
  • Support the dental team in providing exceptional patient care.

Qualifications

  • Previous dental assisting experience preferred.
  • Dental Assistant certification preferred (where applicable).
  • X-Ray Certification preferred.
  • Current CPR/BLS Certification preferred.
  • Knowledge of dental terminology and dental procedures.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment.
  • Commitment to professionalism, patient care, and confidentiality.
