NEEDED: Dental Assistant

LOCATION: 1 Glen Ray Road, Alderson, West Virginia, 24910

SCHEDULE: Monday – Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Dental Assistant shall possess specialty training from a licensed dentist and/or certification from an accredited Dental Assistant school.
  • Training must include dental radiology and radiology safety.
  • Shall be certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) in accordance with the American Red Cross or the American Heart Association
  • Have a minimum of two (2) years of experience providing Dental Assistant services.

JOB DUTIES:

  • Providing chair side assistance to the dentist during restorative, prosthodontics, periodontics, endodontic, and oral surgery procedures.
  • Operating radiographic equipment, demonstrating proficiency in radiographic techniques, processing films and properly mounting them for interpretation while demonstrating current knowledge in radiographic safety measures.
  • Performing screening exams and charts existing conditions under a dentist's or physicians' supervision.
  • Placing transitional restorations in emergency situations.
  • Taking preliminary prosthetic impressions and pour the models.
  • Removing sutures.
  • Delivering post-surgical care for alveolitis or persistent bleeding under the supervision of a dentist.
  • Responsible for re-cementation of fixed prosthodontics restorations under the supervision of a dentist.
  • Assisting with scheduling patients for the dental clinic via call outs.
  • Maintaining daily statistics of the patients seen in the dental clinic.
  • Possessing a current and valid license/certificate from a United States jurisdiction.
  • Scanning of medical records and reports as needed.
