Ready to run something big?
We're looking for a leader who's outgrown the "standard office manager" job description — someone who wants ownership, influence, and a real path to leadership.
Pleasant Family Dentistry has served the Mount Pleasant community for over 30 years. We're one of the area's largest and most respected general family practices, and we're growing. Now we need an experienced leader to run the show at one of our biggest locations — a high-volume, 4-doctor office where your decisions actually move the needle.
What makes this role different
Most office manager roles top out at scheduling and staffing. This one doesn't.
You'll partner directly with four doctors on strategy, own the KPIs that matter (production, collections, scheduling efficiency, expenses), and mentor the leaders coming up under you. And because we're expanding, this role is a genuine springboard — top performers here move into multi-site and regional leadership.
If you've been managing a practice and know you're ready for more complexity, more visibility, and more upside, this is that next step.
What you'll own
- Team leadership — Coach and develop your front office and clinical support leads. Build a culture where people are accountable, engaged, and actually want to be there.
- Operations — Keep patient flow, staffing, and daily systems running smoothly across four providers at once. This is where your organizational instincts get to shine.
- The numbers — Own production, collections, scheduling optimization, and expenses. You'll partner with the doctors, but the performance is on you.
- Doctor partnership — Be the strategic right hand to four doctors, aligning on goals and driving initiatives that actually get implemented.
- Patient experience — Set the standard for a patient-first practice, backed by advanced technology and a full range of in-house services.
Requirements
What you bring
- 3–5+ years of dental office management experience — bonus points if you've run a large or multi-provider practice
- A leadership style that's equal parts coach and accountability partner
- Comfort owning KPIs and financial performance, not just watching them
- The ability to juggle a lot of moving parts without dropping any of them
- Familiarity with practice management software (Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Open Dental, or Denticon)
- High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree a plus
