Covenant Aviation Security (CAS) is seeking a Human Resources Associate to support human resources and administrative operations at Denver International Airport (DEN). Reporting to the HR Manager, the HR Associate provides paraprofessional and technical support across a variety of human resources functions, including recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, training administration, payroll support, recordkeeping, compliance, and workforce support.

This position plays a key role in ensuring the efficient administration of personnel processes and supporting a positive employee experience while maintaining compliance with company policies, contractual obligations, and airport requirements.

Employment Compensation & Benefits

Covenant Aviation Security offers a competitive compensation package, with a targeted hourly pay range of $25/hour - $28/hour, depending on qualifications, experience, and contract requirements.

Essential Functions

  • Assist the HR Manager in all phases of personnel support for the DEN operation.
  • Support recruiting activities, including candidate communications, interview coordination, onboarding, and new hire processing.
  • Assist with employee relations matters and workplace investigations as directed by the HR Manager.
  • Maintain personnel files, training records, compliance documentation, and other employment-related records.
  • Coordinate employee badging, licensing, and credentialing requirements to ensure workforce compliance.
  • Assist with benefits administration, employee communications, and HR-related inquiries.
  • Support payroll processing and billing activities to ensure accuracy and timely submission.
  • Coordinate the procurement and distribution of uniforms, supplies, and operational materials.
  • Assist with training administration, scheduling, tracking, and recordkeeping.
  • Prepare reports, correspondence, presentations, and other administrative documents as needed.
  • Partner with operational leadership to support workforce needs and maintain compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Provide general administrative support to the DEN management team.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Five (5) years of experience in a human resources, administrative, or security administrative support role may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in human resources, recruiting, employee relations, payroll, benefits administration, or a related administrative function.
  • Experience maintaining confidential employee information and records.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Valid driver's license or state-issued identification.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain all required airport credentials and access privileges.
  • Ability to successfully pass all required background checks and pre-employment screening requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience supporting human resources functions in an airport, aviation, security, transportation, or government-contracted environment.
  • Knowledge of employment law, employee relations, payroll administration, and HR compliance practices.
  • Human Resources certification such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or equivalent.
  • Experience with HRIS, payroll, applicant tracking systems, or workforce management platforms.

Physical Demands

  • May require sitting, standing, walking, and moving throughout office and airport facilities for extended periods of time.
  • Frequently uses standard office equipment, including computers, telephones, printers, and other business equipment.
  • May be required to lift and carry office supplies, files, uniforms, and training materials weighing up to 25 pounds.
  • May occasionally be required to travel between airport facilities, training locations, and operational areas.

Work Environment

Work is primarily performed in a professional office environment located at Denver International Airport. The position requires regular interaction with employees, applicants, operational leadership, airport personnel, and external vendors.

Occasional work may be performed in operational areas of the airport, including training facilities, employee screening checkpoints, and other secured locations. The position may require exposure to varying noise levels, weather conditions, and airport activity when traveling between facilities or supporting operational needs.

The position may occasionally require work outside of normal business hours to support recruiting events, onboarding activities, employee relations matters, training programs, or operational requirements.
