Description Amazon's Worldwide Grocery Stores (WWGS) is seeking a motivated Demand Planner to join our fast-paced demand planning team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, moves quickly, and is eager to learn and grow with our business. Key job responsibilities - Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts for Amazon product categories. - Analyze sales trends, seasonality, and promotional impacts to optimize inventory levels. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams including supply chain, operations, and merchandising - Monitor forecast accuracy and implement continuous improvement initiatives. - Support new product launches with data-driven forecasting. - Identify and communicate supply-demand imbalances proactively. - Create reports and dashboards to track key performance metrics. - Participate in weekly and monthly business reviews. - Demonstrate ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt quickly to changing priorities. - Exhibit strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Basic Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field - 2+ years of supply chain, forecasting, manufacturing, sourcing/procurement, or vendor management experience - Knowledge of writing and optimizing SQL queries in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets - Knowledge of Microsoft Excel at an advanced level, including: pivot tables, macros, index/match, vlookup, VBA, data links, etc. - Experience providing and effectively communicating strategic and tactical recommendations based on data Preferred Qualifications - Knowledge of methods for statistical inference (e.g. regression, experimental design, significance testing) - Experience with one or more analytics visualization tools (e.g., Excel, Tableau, QuickSight, MicroStrategy, PowerBI) - Experience with purchasing or inventory management in e-commerce or retail - 3+ years of demand planning and forecasting experience - Experience within e-commerce or Retail fields - Experience utilizing AI to improve Demand planning and forecasting models Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
