Delivery Driver - $20.00 - $22.00 (DOE)

Our staffing agency, Express Employment Professionals of Mount Vernon is recruiting for dependable Delivery Drivers to support a regional logistics company known for efficient package handling and exceptional customer service. Drivers play a key role in ensuring packages are delivered safely, accurately, and on time throughout the region.

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy being on the road, working independently, and representing a professional logistics operation.

What you get to do:

• Safely operate a delivery vehicle to transport packages to customers along assigned routes.
• Load, unload, and organize packages to ensure efficient delivery.
• Deliver packages on time and follow all company procedures and safety standards.
• Provide friendly, professional customer service during deliveries and pickups.
• Verify delivery information, obtain signatures when required, and complete documentation accurately.
• Perform daily vehicle inspections and report any maintenance or safety issues.
• Use handheld devices or mobile apps to track deliveries and update shipment status.
• Follow all traffic laws and company policies at all times.
• Maintain a clean and organized vehicle.

What you need to be successful:

• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Service orientation.
• Time management.
• Active listening.
• Ability to read maps, follow GPS directions, and navigate routes efficiently.

Schedule: All Delivery Drivers must follow a consistent schedule designed to support operational needs while maintaining work‑life balance.

Our client sets the following expectations:

• Start Time: 8:30 AM
• Maximum Daily Hours: Up to 10 hours per day
• Maximum Weekly Hours (Full‑Time): Up to 40 hours per week
• Shift Structure: Drivers may work four 10‑hour shifts or five shorter shifts depending on route assignments and business needs
• Overtime: Not expected; schedules are designed to remain within the 40‑hour weekly limit

This structure ensures drivers have predictable start times while keeping total hours compliant with company policy.

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 (DOE)
