- Safely operate your own delivery vehicle to transport packages to designated locations
- Load and unload packages from delivery vehicle, ensuring proper handling and organization
- Use navigation tools and local knowledge to plan efficient delivery routes
- Verify delivery information and obtain necessary signatures upon package delivery
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption
- Conduct regular vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues
- Provide excellent customer service, addressing any inquiries or concerns professionally
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies
- Assist with additional tasks as assigned by management
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Must have a valid Drivers License with 2 years of driving experience if 18, and 1 if 19.
- Previous delivery or driving experience preferred
- Excellent time management and navigation skills
- Strong customer service orientation
- Detail-oriented with basic math skills for package counting and invoice verification
- Physical ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 50 pounds
- Proficiency in using GPS and mobile delivery applications
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed
- Knowledge of local traffic patterns and road systems in Harlingen and surrounding areas
