Description
We're looking for a reliable and organized Delivery Dispatcher to coordinate daily delivery operations for kitchen cabinets and appliances. In this role, you'll be the communication hub between drivers, warehouse staff, and customers ensuring deliveries are scheduled efficiently, issues are resolved quickly, and every order reaches its destination on time.
Job Responsibilities
- Coordinate Deliveries: Plan and schedule daily delivery routes based on customer needs, delivery deadlines, and available resources.
- Dispatch with Accuracy: Assign drivers and vehicles to deliveries while providing clear instructions and route information.
- Track & Communicate: Monitor delivery progress, provide updates to customers and internal teams, and respond quickly to delays or schedule changes.
- Support Operations: Work closely with warehouse, logistics, and customer service teams to ensure orders are picked, loaded, and dispatched accurately.
- Maintain Records: Keep dispatch logs, delivery confirmations, inventory records, and other documentation organized and up to date.
- Problem Solve: Resolve delivery issues, reroute shipments when necessary, and make timely decisions to keep operations running smoothly.
- Promote Safety & Compliance: Follow company policies and transportation regulations while maintaining accurate shipping and dispatch documentation.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous dispatch, logistics, delivery experience, or transportation coordination experience preferred.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Proficiency with computer systems and warehouse management or dispatch software.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
- Ability to problem solve, prioritize tasks, and make decisions under pressure.
- Knowledge of inventory, shipping, and logistics processes is a plus.
